Check out the coaches' bios for full information about their backgrounds and experience. Coach Abby has created a softball culture of her own, leading her team to success, growth, and positivity. Your player will be surrounded by elite athletes, creating an inclusive environment that will allow your player to grow and be challenged by her fellow peers and upperclassmen.

ABBY MARLOW

HEAD VARSITY COACH

Coach Abby grew up in Southern Illinois and graduated from New Athens High School where

she played volleyball, basketball, and softball.

She received a multitude of All-Conference,

All-Area and All-State honors among the three sports. Softball accolades included All-Area

Small School Player of the Year, MaxPreps National High School Player of the Week, and North

Region Player of the Week as a senior.

Coach Abby played Division I softball at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 2016 to 2020.

She was captain of her team for her final two

seasons. She graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition

Her first year with Cherry Creek High School was

in 2022 as the Assistant Varsity Coach. In 2023

she was named the Head Varsity Softball Coach. Under her first season as head coach, she led the team to Regionals, for the first time in 5 years.

LEXIE VERNON

HEAD JV COACH

Coach Lexie, a native of the Chicago suburbs, attended Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort,Illinois. A standout on the Griffins' softball team, she was a four-year letterwinner and earned multiple all-conference and all-area honors during her high school career.

From 2006-2010, Coach Lexie played Division II softball at Lewis University, where she participated inthe NCAA Tournament and earned academic all-conference honors each year. As a utility player and team captain, she helped lead the 2010 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship team. She
graduated in 2010 with a degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Business Administration.

Following her playing career, Coach Lexie

earned a master’s degree in Sport Management from Western Illinois University. She began her professional career as an athletic trainer at Division III Knox Collegebefore transitioning into coaching and administration within the athletics department. During her timeas assistant softball coach, she coached several MWC all-conference players. After 11 years inGalesburg, she moved to Colorado and now serves as the Senior Associate Commissioner for the Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference.

In 2024, Coach Lexie will begin her first year as the Junior Varsity Head Coach for Cherry Creek High School softball. She looks forward to fostering and building upon the successful culture and atmosphere established by Coach Abby.

JUANITA DOMINGUEZ

ASST VARSITY COACH

Coach Juanita attended Centauri High School in Southern Colorado where she excelled
in Varsity Basketball and Baseball. She played Varsity Basketball for 3 years and served
as Captain for 2. She played and started Varsity Baseball all 4 years and served as
Captain for 3. As a Varsity Baseball Player she was named All Conference Utility Player
her Freshman year and 2 nd Baseman years following.

She received an athletic scholarship and played Division II Softball at Mesa State. She
was named All Conference and All Regional 2 nd Baseman her Senior year. She received
her B.S. in Recreation Administration with a minor in Business Administration. She has
served as a Director of Parks and Recreation throughout her career and now owns a
salon with her niece.

Juanita has coached young athletes for over 30 years but most recently coaches The
E.C. Coyotes 12U Travel Fastpitch team. She is in her 2 nd year as the Assistant Varsity
Softball Coach at Cherry Creek.
